Ciara Crafts a ‘Hit’ with Hit-Boy
Ciara
Ciara has quietly returned to the studio to work on her next album. Producer of the moment Hit-Boy spilled details on a track he made for the R&B siren.

The 24-year-old hitmaker behind Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Ni**as in Paris” cut an uptempo record with Soundz called “Hit Boy” for CiCi’s Epic Records debut.
“I did a record for Ciara. It’s called ‘Hit Boy,’ written by this producer/writer Soundz. He’s amazing, so be on the lookout for that,” Hit-Boy told MTV News, describing the sound as “energetic, for the club, for the radio.”
In addition to Ciara, the in-demand producer has been working on music for Brandy, the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, and Kendrick Lamar. “The record that we did work on is very energetic,” he said of his collaboration with the Compton MC. “It’s almost the same type of energy as a ‘Ni**as in Paris,’ so I’m super excited for people to hear that. That’s like one of my best beats that I’ve done in a while.”
His work can also be heard on Rihanna’s new album Talk That Talk (“Watch n’ Learn”) and Monica’s 2012 release New Life, for which he and Ester Dean contributed a slow ballad.

R&B singer Ciara has opened up about her desperation to leave her record label, blasting bosses for not financially backing her music career. The "Goodies" star has been at the center of rumors she is on the brink of being dropped by Jive Records, but she has taken to her Facebook.com page to explain her side of the story.

The beauty claims she has struggled to receive any financial support from label chiefs before the release of her single "Gimmie Dat", revealing she has had to pay for the song and its promo with her own cash. She goes on to insist she has now personally asked to be freed from her contract so she can get on with her chart career.

In a revealing post, the star writes, "This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false... It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me... The past two albums have been very frustrating for me."

"At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started. I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio PDs tell me my label didn't want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them."

R&B singer Ciara sparked an online war of words with Rihanna on Friday, 25 February after she accused the "Umbrella" superstar of ignoring her at a recent party. Ciara made the allegation during an appearance on Joan Rivers' "Fashion Police" with show on America's E! network after she was quizzed by the outlandish host about what she thought of Rihanna's style.

She told Rivers, "I ran into (Rihanna) recently at a party. She wasn't the nicest. It's crazy, because I've always loved and respected what she's done in fashion. It wasn't the most pleasant run-in."

Rihanna quickly retorted with a message on her Twitter.com page, joking that she must have mistaken Ciara for hired help. She wrote, "My bad Ci, did I 4get (forget) to tip u? How rude of me." The mocking message prompted Ciara to respond, "Trust me Rihanna u dont want to see me on or off the stage," to which Rihanna came back with, "U gangsta huh? Haaa...Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of."

The response is believed to have stemmed from Ciara's recent accusations that her record label have not backed her career financially, forcing her to pay for her own videos and promotion. However, the feud was short-lived - the Bajan beauty backed down minutes later and offered a truce, writing, "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's y (why) I retaliated this way! So sorry! Lets make up."

And Ciara immediately accepted her apology, replying, "Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. You threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person."
